Cassie's passionate love of art began when she saw Winslow Homer's 'The Fog Warning' at the Museum of Fine Arts Boston during an Old Post Road School class trip in the 2nd grade. By the 3rd grade, Cassie befriended another artist, Danielle, who generously shared her knowledge of oil pastels and who would be the first of many mentors to help Cassie flourish as a lifelong artist. Her artistic journey has been shaped by atelier-style instruction in the Boston School tradition at Walpole High School, followed by a Bachelor of Fine Arts from MassArt in 1999, with a dual major in Painting and Art Education. She later earned a second BFA in Graphic Design and became a licensed Massachusetts art educator for grades 5–12. From 2018 to 2021, she further refined her classical drawing and painting skills at the Academy of Realist Art Boston, and has been studying at the Thomas R. Dunlay Teaching Studios in Norwood, MA since 2025. Cassie also completed a rigorous tattoo apprenticeship from 2010–2015 in the state of Florida to develop a strong foundation in safety, technique, and design. She maintains annual certifications in Skin Anatomy and Physiology, Bloodborne Pathogens, and CPR/AED Training, and holds active tattoo licenses in multiple states. An avid hiker and camper, she continually draws inspiration for her art from the endless beauty found in the natural world and loves painting outdoors. She believes staying in tune with nature's cycles keeps her work fresh and grounded in the now. In tattooing, she especially enjoys working in full color.
